With over 10,000 objects, 100,000 documents (The Wyck Papers) and 2,000 books, Wyck's collections and papers offer an important resource to students and researchers in the fields of:

    American decorative arts
    Material culture
    Garden history
    Farming history
    Quaker history and family life
    Childhood
    Women's roles
    The abolition movement
    Native Americans
    Natural history and science

Nearly 300 years of accumulated possessions, letters, diaries, account ledgers, bills of sale, and the family's library at Wyck offer a wealth of material in its original context.

Four master's thesis have been completed on different time periods or individuals at Wyck; several doctoral dissertations have drawn heavily on our collections and papers. Numerous authors have found original material for their books or exhibit catalogs.

For collectors, Wyck offers well-documented objects and furnishings in their original setting, often in an unrestored condition.
